David R. Baucom, 44, a resident of the Beaverton community, died Monday, July 15, 2013 at Tuality Community Hospital in Hillsboro.

DAVID RUSSELL BAUCOM was born on July 28, 1968 in Forest Grove, Oregon, the son of Walter Marshall Baucom Jr. and Mary (Salter) Baucom. He was raised and received his education in the Forest Grove community, having been a graduate with Forest Grove High School Class of 1986.

He was united in marriage to Melissa L. Greer on September 29, 1990 in Beaverton, Oregon. Following their marriage they made their home in the Beaverton community. They had four children together, Crystal, Kevin, Corey and Kelsi.

David worked as an Autobody Painter for Heitzm
an Body and Paint in Beaverton for many years.

Among his special interests he enjoyed fishing, watching movies and laughing with friends and family. He was fun to be around and cared about everyone.

David is preceded in death by his son, Kevin Russell Baucom and his father, Walter Marshall Baucom Jr. and his niece Tiffany Cumbo.

Survivors include his wife, Melissa L. Baucom, of the family home in Beaverton, Oregon; his three children, Crystal Baucom; Corey Baucom and Kelsi Baucom, all of Beaverton, Oregon; his mother, Mary Baucom-Hale, of Cornelius, Oregon; his brother and sister-in-law, Walter "Walt" Baucom, III. and Chris Baucom, of Rock Creek, Oregon; his sister and brother-in-law, Teresa and Don Cumbo, of Forest Grove, Oregon and his brother and sister-in-law, Jason and Brenda Greer, of Hillsboro, Oregon.

Also surviving are his nieces, Stephanie Baucom and Jessica Trautwein and his nephews Michael Cumbo and Alex Greer.

The family suggests that remembrances may be made as contributions to the Contributions Account for David Baucom's Children, care of any Columbia Community Bank branch.
